Sayed Abdelhafiz, Al Ahly’s director of football, expressed his happiness following our 3-1 victory over Enppi SC on Saturday in the Egyptian Premier League.
“We have a lot of positives that we could take away from today's victory. First of all, a lot of players returned back and participated once again in today's match. Also, we gave the chance to some of our youngsters, like Ahmed Nabil Koka.”
“On a different note, we have a very overwhelmed schedule. I never saw a team play that number of games in a very short period.”
“We will prepare for our match against Al Masry SC, then we will face El Gouna SC. After that, the second half of the season will begin and we will be facing Ghazl El Mahalla SC, Al Ittihad Alexandria SC, and Zamalek SC. Then, CAF Champions League will resume once again.”
“I understand that the Egyptian Football Association wants to end the league on a certain date; however, that negatively impacts the players and the clubs as they are exposed to an overwhelmed schedule.”
